    Default What's in a word.

Sitting here on a Wet Sat.afternoon, And indulging in a few Brandy Squares , or round or oblong, Depends! Don't intend ,going anywhere outside . So! 'Go for it! . The R . B. T.'s ,will be out as usual. Though how some of them Testers, can appear,so righteous ,is another (Don't do as I do, Do As I say!". Story. Still the ultimate aim is to reduce the Road Toll, so there fore, is ,Fully justifiable.
With the Good Offices ,of this Site. In allowing us to indulge our pent-up experiences, Not to be equalled, anywhere, Midst the General Public. As the Qz expression ."They Wouldn;t have a Clue,"! Says it All. Our unique experiences ,fail their comprehension. Inasmuch ,in my first few years ashore,in Victoria. if one didn;t know the ins and outs , of Aussie Rules, Re. Who Kicked a Goal. and who kicked ,So many "Behinds." Had to laugh , hearing that expression, " being mentioned ,so seriously. Became boring. Still that was Part and Parcel, of eventually ,Getting to know this ,Lucky Country.

Bit of Trivia,i suppose, But Relevant. I think so, anyway." Breath Testing!"When it was first seriously Mooted, in Victoria, mid Seventies, It created a number of responses.in the Letters to the Ed. column. etc. As previously it was not seriously considered., As Now One Report declared , that something like 17 % of accidents, were Alcohol related. In a Reply , Jokingly responded. making the point, that if 17% were Drunk, .then the other 83 % per centage, were Sober. So Better to Drink, ! Being my Tongue in cheek, conclusion .
Not wishing to trivialise the subject, and looking for a lighter word than Crash! or even Accident, somehow ,the word Bingle, came to me .
There were a few replies,in following days. One in particular, seeing the Funny side, of the argument,. In Short . What i'm Saying is, If nothing else, Re Oz ,Have contributed the Word Bingle , to the Oz vocalbuary. with Firms, set -up using the Word . Bingle Insurance, etc.
To any who may wish to disbelieve ,. and need proof. I offer fifty to one . As would have to Research the Vic. Library. In the Meantime. Just Google . Bingle .Oz dictionary.
p.s. If Des Jenkins is looking -in. Beware! the Sheila in the Service station. 'She's only after your body.

Evan if you haven't got a sense of humour, you will finish up a grumpy old sod. Keep looking on the bright side. The funniest show on TV is the political debates, they should all be lining up for Oscars for Drama Queens, coming out with some of the stuff they do and all with a straight face. Cheers JS

    Bleeding heck J.S.
Can you just imagine the acceptance speech that any politician would make if they were awarded an Oscar for their parliamentary oratory, the theatre would be flooded with their tears and most of the audience dead due to boredom.

That one he said,What are you intending to study ? And what type of collage and where exactly is its location we cant find any trace of it ?????????????? Politicians are the worlds best at inventing new words, speaking without knowing it, using words no one in normal times has ever heard and at the end of it what have you got?

Crap on top of crap served with more crap.

We have core and non core promises, now tell me what kind are they? We must innovate to progress? WTF is all that about?
But of course the best, 'there will be no increase in taxes, but we may change the manner in which they are administrated'. Poli speak for you bet your life we are going to increase them.
    Happy daze John in Oz.
