Re: Fake?
That's it, not going to take up golf now, too bloody dangerous. The ball could have hit the guy in the golf buggy.

Happy daze John in Oz.

Re: Fake?
Marion,
I cann't quite remember the date but in the late 1970's I was on holiday at a place called Trail. BC. staying with my brother in law and family. At that time I used to fly and hired a Piper Cherokee P38 single winged plane at Castlegar Airport BC. The owner accompanied me and we flew around and he suggested something that a lot of people had never done before and that was to land and take off on a golf course. This was a place called Salmo which boasted of a Golfport which is a golf course and airport combined, the gentleman told he it was only one of three in the North American continent it was only a few miles away so off we went, we we arrived I had to fly around the fairway a couple of times and waggle my wings to inform the golf players that I wanted to land, which I did, I landed on the main fairway, turned around at the end and took off again. It was a long time ago now and I dont know if it is still a 'Golfport'....salmo.jpg

Re: Fake?
Keith, flying into Castlegar does give you a bit of a twitch especially when you look to the left and see the remains of that plane that crashed into the mountain. They might/should have moved it by now though.
