Re: A Night in Macau
One of the things that sticks in my head after a trip to Macau a few years ago was the sudden appearance of convoys of helicopters about 5pm each weekday ferrying rich Chinese gamblers from HongKong to Macau for a night of throwing good money after bad and then ferrying them back to HongKong in time for the start of business at 9am the following morning.( Gambling is banned in China ) It was amazing, a line of whirlie birds in " Line astern " fashion as far as the eye could see ! Some of these guys were betting the equivalent of a years salary for me on the throw of a dice - it was incredible to watch. Regards Peter in NZ.
