Re: syria
John. my views are well known, maybe not agreed with but that is up to the individual. From years ago many of us said that this mixing people of different ways of life is alright if they are conducive to each other. It will be the voice of the people who decide who lives alongside them in the finish. What is happening in Germany is probably acceptable by the people doing these acts against women, and they refer to their own teachings as their reason. Whatever prolific writer wrote East is East and West is West and ne"er the twain will meet, was obviously not understood by some of our politicians. The film of starving children due to towns and cities being under siege, was how these same wars were faught 3000 years ago. Little has changed in these countries over the centurys. Cheers JS

Re: syria
Hi John.
I hate to be cynical but those pictures of starving kids look a bit suss, I think they are from the war in Serbia, the reporters keep saying they can't confirm the pictures, they could if they went back far enough.
Cheers Des

Re: syria
No matter hwo governments try to gild it the fact remains that east and west have different values, religions and ways of life. The two can be put side by side but that does not mean they will agree and get on together. But then we have the 'do good' brigade who think they can solve the problems of the world and have us all living together in harmony...wrong!
For the west a wage is earned from a hard days work, for many in the east it is through subterfuge and bribery.
No matter how long some of them may live in the west they will still cling to the ideals fo the country they came from.
Germany has now made a rod for it's won back and this will come back to bite them on the bum big time. The problem that could well arise from this is the rising up of some of the groups removed at the end of WW2, and who knows what that will lead to?

Re: syria
Letter in todays paper entitled Failed Multiculturalism....The sexual assaults in Germany on New Years Eve were a shocking demonstration of the failed multiculturalism experiment. We are better educated and more globally aware than at any other time in history.
But we persist in believing we have the power to control the fundamental laws of nature.
East and West like oil and water, will never mix to form a unified solution. Even if artificially held together ( under the ideology of multiculturalism) they will always exist separately.
Repeating the same experiment over and over again, with the only change being more sophisticated methods of reporting and analysis, does not change the inevitability of the outcome. Name supplied. JS

Re: syria
Many towns and cities are now getting peed off with Merkel and her open borders and welcome all refugees.
Most German towns have seen a huge rise in crime since the arrival of the refugees, in fact one German town has just loaded 31 refugees onto a bus and sent them to Merkels address with a note saying "see how you like it having all these swamp our town" (or words to that effect).
Apart from Cologne, many cities and towns in Germany and Sweden are suffering from a large increase in sexual abuse of young women (some as young as 12-14 yrs) by gangs of N. African or Arabic males. A lot of it is going unreported due to the press being afraid of the P.C. brigade.
As an deterrent to all these young male refugees I suggest that a condition of granting them residency in any country, they be sexually neutered. This would prevent further sex crimes against female citizens and also control population growth if and when they are granted citizenship in any country.
Harsh maybe but harsh measures are going to have to be taken if Europe is to control the flow of migrants into it.

Re: syria
There is now every chance that the people will rise up and take the law into their own hands. Are the govs of Germany and a few other nations so stupid as to think they can take these people in without any conflict arising? Just what are they on?
Australia is a nation of multi culturalism, after WW2 they came from may nations but all white as the white Australia policy was in place. They came from Italy, Greece, UK, Spain, Yogoslavia and many other European nations. They worked together on schemes such as the Snowy River one and got on. All was well, then the white Australia policy got the DCM and those from non white countries began to arrive. We are no where as bad as Europe, but given time there will be problems here as well. Yes we take in genuine refugees and asylum seekers but they are all fully checked before they come in. Until Europe adopts such ideals as ours for the acceptance of others there will always be problems.

I turned down a lucrative job in Saudi because one of the conditions of employment was that I could not share a swimming pool with my two year old twin daughters, never mind my wife. Don't know whether or not things have changed but when I was working on a project in Saudi in the 80's single men (indigenous males included) had to sit in a segregated part of restaurants, cafes etc and entering a swimming pool would have found you jailed for years and flogged
