Really !...Can't think why.....then again it might just be that for several months past you have made it your mission to point the accusatory finger at the meddlesome 'West' for creating the explosive situation currently existing throughout the Middle East. Never once do I recall any criticism from you regarding Russia's eagerness to join the fray and never once did you censure Putin for his decision to assist al-Assad in the purposeful mass-slaughter of his own people. Before you remind me that in time of war innocent lives are lost, might I suggest that 250,000 civilian lives makes a mockery of the term 'collateral damage' as an excuse for what has occurred in Syria. Now, more recently, you suggest that adverse publicity of Assad and Russia might easily be part of a huge disinformation campaign by the world media !!! Can you not see a trend forming here, John ?.......certain people might !

In your haste to blame the 'West' have you not considered there might be other, more traditional, reasons for the present volatility. The Middle-East is a region of the world long used to periods of internecine struggle during which various factions would venture forth to annihilate one another in support of their own peculiar brand of Islamic ideology. Alliances were many and varied, a kaleidoscopic nightmare of intrigue, give it one little shake (or sheik even) and last year's mortal enemy becomes a new best friend. As the current situation might suggest, nothing much has changed.

    ....Roger

Must be about 7 months to the day since the last out burst cappy. I had just come in from the hospital after Gwens first hip replacement, today have just come in after the second hip being done. Think my movements are being monitored, as long as are the right movements couldn't care less. See you've survived the holiday period in one piece. Is the Ark floating yet. Will just play patience in the hospital for the next week or so till she gets home. Cheers JS.

Marion,I remember in Belfast going shopping.
You could not leave your car unattended.
Was funny to see. All the woman went shopping while the men sat in their cars.
    Suited me.
Unattended vehicles would be towed and presumably destroyed.

John It's a very complected situation.Doubt it will ever be sorted out.
The only deal that Micheal Collins could get was to give the six counties up.
They were mainly populated by Protestant Scott's and Englishmen anyway.
Yes most in the Republic are happy enough with life there.

The point of interest there being that Collins was taken out by his own people for that. The IRA still exists but is now very quiet, occasionally there is a small incident but rarely makes the headlines now.
    Happy daze John in Oz.
