Crimewatch.
I wouldn't be surprised if this is another import from Eastern Europe. If you didn't watch Crimewatch on BBC1 last night you can catch it on iplayer,to see the part that I am referring to go straight along to 40 minutes. The story is a guy walks into a shop and touches the shopkeeper on the arm,the shopkeeper freezes, the guy touches him here and there (you cant hear what he is saying)and the shopkeeper is completely out of it and the guy empties both the shopkeepers pockets. It's only as the thief is going out of the door that the shopkeeper realises what has happened and attempts to give chase.
Regards.

Re: Crimewatch.
Apparently there are gangs of Eastern European and Romanian pickpockets roaming our streets, another reason why we need to have better border controls.

Re: Crimewatch.
On Monday I was talking to an old Friend who is a very Senior Police Officer in Bolton, and also in the Armed response team.
He told me be very careful when in town, there are Thousands of east european thieves, muggers and pick pockets .
It is now getting to be a dangerous place. Also he told to be very careful in supermarkets and Shopping Malls, in case of bombing,
Anne will not go into town anymore to shop, she is scared, I have to be with her riding shotgun.
When we go in, only once a month now , used to be every week, We never hear a word of English spoken There are gangs of them marauding around town, I was assaulted in the bank once and chased them out, with threats of `We wait for you outside`, I got outside after but they had gone.
The politicians tell us that they are enriching our Society, don't know what kind of a society our politicians live in.
If Adolf Hitler had invaded us in WW2 I don't think we would have had a bigger mess than that caused by our politicians.
What the Hell has happened to our once great Nation.,????
Once again I despair.

If I can look like a Mozzie it will be easier to blend in with our modern society.

Re # 1 post
Hi Jim
Yes I also watched Crimewatch on Thursday night and saw the clip you are referring to. There was a follow up on Fridays evening news both on BBC and ITN.
Apparently the shopkeeper was hypnotized by the assailant and had no idea what was going on i.e. theft of money from till and also his wallet. Scary or what!!
Regards
John

Re: Crimewatch.
There are currently a number oif Australians on death row in Bali, drug runners who got caught and it woulkd appear the new president will allow the sentence to be carried out.
On the raido the other day the presenter told of another two who had been caught and now also afce the death penalty. He asked for comments as he did not think the sentence was fair.
I phoned in and told him that when we went to se we were told thta if we broke th elaws of other countries we would be punished under the law of those countries.
He replied thta he considered that to be very unfair as most travellers would not know the laws of other countries.
When I told him that anyone visiting Oz who broke the law here would be punished under our law he moved on to the next caller.

Happy daze John in Oz.
Life is too short to blend in.
