Drug anyone?
Today it was announced by the police here in Victoria that in the past year more lives have been lost on the road as a results of accidents involving drivers on drugs rather than alcohol.
Alcohol related deaths are now third behind drugs and speeding motorists.
One case involved a druged motorist going through a red light light some 5 seconds after it had come on, killing four others.
Drug testing of motorists began here almost 10 years ago and the numer of convictions is rising by over 15% per year.
One guy interviewed on radio claimed he was spending up to $1,000 on ice. No he was not drinking a lot of G&T, he was smoking it.
Now when I see a motorist behaving badly I have to ask myself, drink or drugs?

Happy daze John in Oz.

Re: Drug anyone?
john a few years ago I did a job in seegrams{the home of captain morgan rum} the fumes in the sheds you could not smoke within 75ft of the sheds when first opened now we worked inside for 8 hours and then drove home after tea you would flake out in a drunken stupa next morning wake up with a bad head but thinking back I could have been pulled for drink driving even though I don't drink and if I went on holiday I would have some explaining to do carrying the drugs I take per day including morphine so its safer to stay at home? jp
