    Default A bit of trivia

This time last October bush fires ravaged the blue Mountain area just outside of Sydney. Over 200 houses burned to the ground. This october as Vernon, Richard and Roger will confirm this year is the opposite. Torrential rain, high winds doing as much damage with trees down all over the place, and even sone snow.
Of course there are the experst, remembering that an ex is a has been and a spurt is a drip under pressure, will tell you this is due to global warming. The fact is this is Australian spring weather, crazy every year.

Now on a brighter note. The PC brigade are at it again.
    Nursery rhymes,
Baa Baa Black sheep will now be Green?? How many Green sheep have you seen?
Little miss muffet sat on her tuffet!!!!
This is considered to be derogatery to diminutive persons and has sexual conotations?
How do their sick minds work?
The little boy who lived down the lane will be no more as it single shim out from the rest of society.

I would love to live in their world, the world where every thing is perfect, all are equal and there is no division.

Where the **** do these morons get their rocks off?

    Yes indeed John
We had some terrible Weather over the last few days here and in the CBD and surrounds!
We had some Heavy Snow up here and the Roads and Rail were closed, we also had no power for 14 hrs here so it was cold dark and wet,we had to sit with Blankets in the dark ,thankfully we have Laterns which are a great help,so not too long in the dark!
Of course it was night nearly so it was not long before we called it a night and snuggled into our Beds, listening to the howling Winds, the heavy Snow falling on the Roof and the sounds of Sirens going all over the place!
Crews still out and about cleaning up here, but the worst is over thank the Lord!

Thank goodness Irene was on Two Weeks leave as she would not have been able to get to work!
I have spent the past two days in the back Yard with the Chainsaw cleaning up the large Branches that were taken down by the wind and the weight of the Snow!

I had planted two Chines Maples last Year, and they were nearly ruined by the Weather I have since staked them upright again in the hope that they will once again get time to flourish!

    Cheers

see that the high winds you are experiencing led to a large container ship breaking her moorings and crashing around Sydney harbour the other day.

The Australasian region is the fastest growing cruising sector in the world now. No surprize the number of ships is growing. melbourne will have 90 this year up from 75 last year. Now have four companis begining cruises from here, up to last year only Princess had done so. Sydney now has three terminals from where they sail, Circular Quay qhich takes all Royal Caribbean, Holland America and Celebrity providing they can get under the bridge. Princes have a new one under the bridge at I believe White cliffs and P&O still have theirs.
