Re: Under the influence
Doc I had a so called heart attack about 2005, nobody told me to stop drinking so I didnt. They just said not to work so hard especially pulling weeds out of the garden. My wife says I am telling lies, and expects me to carry on doing just that. Do you think shes trying to kill me off. She looks after all the paperwork so will have to have a look to see she she hasnt increased the insurance on me. Cheers John S

Re: Under the influence
A department fo something or other here is now concerned that allowing young persons to drink at ban early age will see them become professional drinkers later in life. They do not believe in the European way of allowing the younf to start with wine and water then progress slowly to the full quid. Being exposed, and I have on a number of occasions, to grog at an early time is not good. So go tell that to the gov who make akilling from alcohol tax!

Re: Under the influence
When the hard times set in about eighteen months ago, I had a choice - feed the kids or drink with the boys at the club. No contest, I haven't had a drink since.

Re: Under the influence
Marian, re your opening commenst, I think I see the problem.
It has been rathe cold in that part of the world so he may well have devloped numb fingers. Holding a cold one at the time would make the situation worse. He was not under the affluence of incohol, just could not gte his fingers to go where he wanted them.
That last sentence in it's self may be damagingLOL

Re: Under the influence
Hi shipmates, I get drunk not on the amount I drink ,but the company I am drinking it with, and the time goes very quickly, or is that the drink must be the single malt?
