Re: Under the influence
As what I consider to be a professional drinker I am never under the influence of alcohol! I may consume to the extent where I find it difficult to negotiate the front room, or maybe find the bathroom, but thta is only because the ball and chain has moved the furniture during the evening, or closed the bathroom door.

Re: Under the influence
I like the quote attributed to W C Fields, He was working on a film with a child actor (He had no time for children) This particular brat always had freshly squeezed orange juice with his lunch WC fields topped this up with vodka, the kid drunk this concoction and became very ill chucking up all over the place. WC Fields was heard to remark "That kid should not drink he can't hold his liquor"

Re: Under the influence
HI Marion.
I realized I was drinking to much when I fell off the sofa while watching TV, so now I only have three schooners and a couple of sherry's before dinner, hic. There I go dreaming again, when my wife asks you having a drink before dinner? I say "I'll have a small sherry.
Cheers Des
