First trip away at sea on an Everades coastal tanker MV Acuity. Leaving Bromborough Dock in the evening, raining slightly, and sailing down the River Mersey, fully loaded, standing and chatting with one of the deckhands on the starboard side above the welldeck with the Mersey washing over the side and onto the deck. I was 16 years of age and I can still see it now 57 years later. I am glad that I joined and I've never looked back with any regret.
As far as other memorable moments, well far too many to tell.

Marian, Imagine the scene walked into a bar in Barbados 1971. I was with a great mixed crew tramping around the Caribbean on an old Haines boat I was with a bunch of Geordie boys at the time great lads. My mate Terry Owens got the beers in sat down and said casual like there is a scouse mate of yours sat the other side of the bar !!!!!!!!!! Really stood up walked around the bar only to see John Lennon @Yoko Ono sat there I cant to this day tell you what words were exchanged I was gob smacked, As they stood to leave the bar he clicked his fingers at the barman and pointed at me the barman brought me a bottle of rum signed bon voyage Terry J Lennon. It rolled of the top of my locker at sea a few weeks later and smashed on the deck of my cabin. I could have been worth a fortune now Story of my life Maz Terry.

Mate after reading about this I have been tormented to the extent of having to ask you? When that bottle smashed on the deck was it empty. Please oh please confirm that it was.
