richard ref hong kong .......when i lived in shields two doors away lived a ships fireman which i had a beer with from time to time if i caught him at home .......getting out the taxi i spotted his 3 0r 4 year old son in the front gardeen .....i asked is your dad home ......the kid started to chant ,,,the sharks got me dad ......i just laughed and went indoors were my granda told me the man a fallen over the side in hong kong harbour and as the boat turned round he was attacked by a shark and of course lost .......brave you swimming there ............swam out to the nets in adalaide and found a hole big enough to get a double decker bus through.......the fiver engineer who saidhe wasnt a good swimmer beat me back to the beach by 20 yards those bloody things make me cringe thinking about them......regards cappy

Ah, those halcyon days, rowing from the reef to our Volasiga she appeared to float on air, the lagoon was so clear. Yesterday here in Katoomba it was 2 degrees with a howling wind chill factor it was minus 6. I'm starting to get cabin fever!!
