Modern society???????????????? Heard today that the junior football leagues up to the age of 14 will no longer have scoreboards, no league table, no finals. The 'do good' brigade say such methods are nnot good for young children as it makes the too competitive. Well to those so called social manipulators when I last looked I found life to be very competitive.
Also now children as young as 4 are being mentored after pre school time to try and finds ways of expressing their feelings about the day.
Go out and kick a football you stupid idiots and you would not need all this crap on top of crap served with more crap.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Life is too short to blend in.

Who are these PC, DAFT DO GOODERS, where do they come from? they are creeping in everywhere, They are unelected, how do they get into those positions? Who pays their wages.?Who employs them? How do they get their power to dictate to the Majority?
    Does anyone know?
Those Idiots stopped our school children from racing on sports day in case only one wins and the others may feel inadequat because they came 2nd or 3rd or not at all.
That is what life is all about. Winners and losers.
Will they stop the Olympic Games because someone may win? Will they stop the Football League because Man U, or Liverpool may lose?.
Will they stop Job Interviews, because you may not get the job and some one else does.?
Will they be able to stop Wars, because one side may beat the other?
Will they stop the Lottery? I also find it very unfair that someone wins every week and not me so I am feeling very inadequat because of that.
Am I going Daft? If I do what about everyone else? Life is Not fair.
Brian , about to jump out of a window.

Brian please whatever you do. Do not jump out of the bleeding window. If you do decided to jump out I have found doing it from the ground floor window to be the safest one. Their will be some bloody group then declare that windows are unsafe and that we will have to install anti jumping bars to all our windows. Do not laugh it happens here until they found out that in case of fire people are trapped in the house because of all the bloody security and safety devices installed.
That's the way the mop flops.

My thanks to Brian for this site.

Hi John, did your Doctor say how old you have to be to have a hip replacement?
Contact your Doctor and tell him to book an appointment with a Consultant at.........

Wrightington Hospital - A Centre of Orthopaedic Excellence
    Wrightington Hospital
    Hall Lane
    Appley Bridge
    Wigan
    Lancashire
    WN6 9EP
    Tel: 01942 244000
    Email: info@wwl.nhs.uk

Orthopaedic Surgery, Hip Replacement Surgery, Hip Revision Surgery and Joint Replacement Surgery

Standing in a pleasant stretch of open countryside near Wigan at the very heart of the North West Region, Wrightington Hospital is readily accessible from the National Motorway Network.

Wrightington Hospital's status as a Centre of Excellence (Orthopaedic Surgery) in the treatment of musculo-skeletal disease has its origins in the seminal work of Professor Sir John Charnley, who pioneered hip replacement surgery involving the techniques of low-friction arthroplasty and also innovative advances to counter post-operative infection. The first ever hip-replacement operations were performed at Wrightington in the early 1960s.

But while drawing strength from the past, Wrightington looks to the future, determined to sustain its reputation as a hospital at the leading edge of both practice and research.

Over the last 8 years Wrightington has developed and provided an excellent hip replacement service at local, national and international level. However, changing patterns of care and the remorseless development of modern high tech orthopaedic surgery and medicine have meant that Wrightington needed a partner to allow it to develop into a modern health care organisation fit for the 21st century.
    ............................
    .
. Doctors are reluctant to send patients see Consultants because the Medical Centre or Surgery has to pay out of their NHS Budget, SO INSIST.IT IS YOUR RIGHT TO SEE A CONSULTANT.
Walk in Centers are not the best places to go to for something serious. OK just for First Aid.

A Doctor is only a General Practitioner Not a Specialist, So get the opinion of a Consultant.
If he will not do it, Go private with an Orthopaedic Consultant. they charge about £80 for a Consultation , then you are on his list and you will be treated on the NHS.
THAT IS THE WAY TO BEAT THEM.
    No one should suffer pain.
Try it you have nothing to lose only £80 and a new hip for your wife and that will make your life easier.
    Good Luck.
    Brian.

    Hi John,
Is the Nurse a qualified Orthopaedic Consultant? Nurses do not normally make decisions on a patients treatment.
See the Man that is when she will get the Right treatment.
Tell your Doctor, not the Nurse, you want to go private and see an Orthopaedic Consultant, for £80 or so you will get all the right answers and treatment. or she will just keep on suffering pain.
I have done that in the past, it by passes all the people who will get in your way.
    Cheers
    Brian.

John, my sympathy with the situation you find yourselves in, my wife is very similar, and to get a decent opinion is hard. Brians post was interesting, as he has insight into how it all works. I have no faith that you wifes letter was ever delivered. Only last week i looked out on to my drive, and the gates are locked, unbeleivably the postman had chucked two letters over the gate, they were just lying on the drive, regards KT, not for me, but my next door neighbour by mistaken address. I complained to the PO , even the women on the phone was shocked
