Re: radio caroline
Absolute magic. We finally got a decent Radio Station without struggling to listen to Radio Luxembourg. Anyone remember how difficult that could be?

Very difficult, signal used to disappear, even when they upgraded the wireless, it was just as bad.

Where has 25 years gone?...........I was at her 25th Birthday party on board a ferry from Harwich - Flushing and return to Harwich. Too foggy to see anything outbound but homeward the fog lifted a little and the Skipper did a 360 round her and then back to Harwich. Knew the 'Manager' well, went by the alias of 'Smithy' but had never met the main man, Ronan OReilly, although seeing him occasionally in the back of pubs, etc. There was still an arrest warrant for him at the time of the 25th Birthday but everyone said he would turn up, and sure enough he did, about 20mins after we'd left Harwich. When we returned to Harwich we were all wondering how he was going to get ashore, we were all moored up but no ramps down or doors open and there was Ronan waving at us from a few hundred yards away, as he got into a black cab.
