Every thing on this planet that dies begins a process of decomposition, plants, trees, animals, mamals. That decomposition produces Methane, even burried bodies produce it and it works it's way through the soil to the surface. Add that to naturaly produced Co2 which ALL mamals on this planet produce and of course the level of so called 'Greenhouse' gasses will rise.

Re: Climate change?????
Climate change has been going on since day one and will continue until this planet is no more. It was only climate change that maoved the whirling ball of gas in space to what the planet is today.
Friend of mine is a Magnetic compass adjuster and tells me he has never been so busy as over the last two years. Scientists have told him the magnetic north has moved resulted from a tilt of the earths axis of about half a degree.
We have here in Oz an economist who worked for the last three Labor govs, that speaks volumes, and he is opposed to the idea now from the new Feral gov that the carbon tax, put on by the last gov, be removed.
Doing so he tells us will put a massive hole in the federal budget. Now is this a all about saving ther planet or saving the budget, you be the judge!

Re: Climate change?????
John, if as you say the world has tilted away or towards the perpendicular, this would explain the change of seasons. As every navigator knows or should know the earth is tilted 23 and a half degrees from the plane of the vertical to the plane of its axis and the only reason we do have seasons. If world was not tilted there would just be the long approx. 365 day season. This is where your Tropic of cancer and Capricorn come from. If true this would explain without a shadow of doubt the change of weather during the so called seasons we have on earth. I find it hard to believe that this has not been published generally for the public to see. As regards the magnetic pole shifting it always has done this. The earth is just one big magnetic with its lines of force. When steel ships were being built in British yards years ago an attempt was always made to lay the keel in a N/S direction in these lines of force passing from the mag. N. pole to the S. Pole. to try and cut down the magnetic properties of the vessel. Was any reason given why the earth has supposedly altered its axis. Regards John Sabourn

Re: Climate change?????
John from the reports I have read, the major earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan recently was a contributory cause altering the axis by a millionth of a degree, enough to move the jet stream about 200 miles south of its regular (but not set in stone) path. A millionth of a degree and 200 miles may not sound a lot, but just enough to alter so many other factors including sea temperatures which are a major factor in the worlds weather patterns. No doubt a more scientific explanation will be forthcoming.

Re: Climate change?????
If you are really bored one week trawl the internet , and there is masses of information onn the polar axis shift , and all kinds of proof try this one http://www.divulgence.net/ but there are thousands , UTube videos , writings of Edgar Casey , but not a single shred of scientific proof from a creditable scientific body . The conspiracy theorists will tell you that big governments are hiding the truth . I don't trust big governments , at all , and Uncle Sam even less than most . If any of the lunatic fringe were correct , I feel that despite governments astronomers would have noticed and here in the UK bodies like the Royal Observatory , The Royal Geographic Society , and countless others are to the best of my knowledge not controlled by the CIA or FBI or the US Department for Homeland Security , and a learned fellow from one of those would have been shouting about it by now . There are religious predictions try this one http://www.g-ratedstuff.com/pole_shift.htm , and the theory that to create the great flood 120 years after Noah started to build the Ark , possibly he was using British Shipbuilders at the time , by turning the Earth over on its axis , so the North pole became the South Pole . Climate Change has happened since the first fish walked up on the beach , had a bronzie and copulated with its mate . Global Warming is a whole different ball game , played by Europe and some other parts of the civilised World , but ignored by the USA , China , India , and as importantly Myanmar and Brazil , as fast as the polluters are stuffing the CO2 into the atmosphere , the Brazilians and their neighbours , as well as the Myanmar residents and their neighbours are chopping down the trees that absorb the CO2 and recreate the Oxygen , so until the industrial wastrels and the forest loggers , clearers and Beef and Palm Oil Farmers are controlled , whether I have a solar panel or a barbeque outdoors , is about as much difference as a grain of sand on a beach . The promoters of the theories are kicking the soft underbelly of the conformists like us European and the displaced Europeans spread across the World , because we are teh easy targets , a protest in Time Square , Tiananmen Square , the Taj Mahal or the Cristo Redentor Statue will result in them getting the same treatment as the Greenpeace loonies at present enjoying Russian Hospitality . SO until the loonie greenies grow some nuts and take their protests to where the problem is I am inclined by 23.5 Degrees not to listen to them .

Re: Climate change?????
Easily seen to the layman then Ivan that a shift of half a degree would alter life as we know it on our planet. Would maybe take peoples mind off climate change once and for all. If an undersea earthquake can cause such a shift then there is every chance they will continue to do so. Yet people like the French insisted on Nucleur underwater tests in the pacific not so long back. People seem to get their priorities wrong. Wont be worrying about smog if any larger changes in the earths inclination. It will be stop the World I want to get off. Cheers John Sabourn

Re: Climate change?????
Gulliver like the bit about the fish walking up the beach. Would like to think my great forefathers were of the shark variety more of a presence than a goldfish or herring. As regards the Internet I don't have a 100 percent belief in a lot of theorists, however do have great faith in our earlier forefathers the likes of Galilleo and Archimedes whose theories have proved correct over a period of hundreds of years. These were fantastic brains and to be able to plot the planets and stars and all heavenly bodies ( not Marylin Monroes unfortuanetley ) is a miracle, their figures still being used today, don't think there has been anybody in our lifetime that could anywhere near match or compare and having only the use of the basic tools, a telescope.
