Re: Climate change?????
The day that climate change began was the day that this planet was created and no one can be quite sure when that was.
The day that climate change will cease will be the day that this planet is no more and no one can be quite sure when that will be.
In between there are a lot of people making a lot on money by using their own agenda for their own ends.
Theres no need for me to fill in the who in that statement as we all know who they are and no matter what we say or do, there is absolutely nothing we can say or change or do about it.
This is not defeatism on my part, its just a fact of life.
Sad isn't it.

Re: Climate change?????
What annoys me is the blatant lies by Politicians of all parties.
Last night on question time was no exception with Ed. Davey and the Labour Politician deriding Lord Lawson.
Lord Lawson stated that there had been no increase in global temperatures in the last 15 years and that the ice at both poles were at record levels. Both statements have been confirmed by scientists and recorded in the scientific press.
Davey and the Labour Politician (can't remember her name) stated that his information was wrong blah, blah, etc.
How can we the public trust (not that we ever could) politicians when the quote only the information that suits there agenda.
The University of East Anglia was caught red-handed manipulating the data to suit climate change.
The planet earth has four seasons, winter, summer, spring and autumn.
Some scientists believe that the earth has seasons, and the effects of these seasons are unknown.
Another fact, the model climatologist used until recently ignored the impact of the Sun on our planet and it is only now that they have factored the sun into any models.

Anything that goes against what the likes of Davey and Co don't want to hear, they ignore.

Re: Climate change?????
Why I get suspicious is when you find a lie ( or deliberate omission ) out . I had to get involved in the Environment and carbon fiddles , the company I worked for had BS / ISO 14001 Environmental management standard , accredited by Lloyds . I read a whole Life Cycle on a Wind Farm Proposal , Now Built , in the summation was a Whole Life carbon Balance , there were 6 Wind Turbines generating a maximum capacity of 10 MW and the manufacturing CO2 was factored into the Whole of Life balance , they missed out the CO2 in the concrete bases and the 6 x 10 mile cables connecting the turbines to the grid . When you factored these in the installation was far from carbon neutral over its twenty five year life , but the energy produced attracted a 12 p per unit subsidy , that is at the normal 30% capacity somewhere around 3300 KWH or a subsidy of £400 / Hour which is £3,500,000 a year , pay back was under three years life cycle beyond the payback was 22 years , so this installation , a relatively small one would over its lifetime attract in subsidy £85,000,000 , now a subsidy means that we pay that . This is big BIG business .

Re: Climate change?????
I've just read The Rgt.Hon. Ed Davey's CV.
School, Oxford, Politician. First Class Honours Degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics. ( All credit to him for that). Work experience anywhere nil. The trouble is that is the way it is nowadays.

Re: Climate change?????
#33 The Earths orbital path round the sun would only have to be a fraction out to cause all sorts of climatic changes. The sun burning at varying thousand of degrees in temperature only has to have excessisive sunspots to affect climatic conditions. The earths path round the sun also, at varying speeds, any change in this will also affect climatic conditions. there are numerous possibilities, however don't worry we"ll tax the people they"ll never notice that will solve all the problems. The problem will never be solved by man. John Sabourn
