Sell by date
We have all seen these dates on goods we buy.
Some of the funnies-
Water takes 1,000 years to perculate through rocks - drink within days of purchase.
Latest one an ASDA razor purchased yesterday- guaranteed good for 24 months after opening!!!!!!
Bet there is more

The problem with bottled water , even after carbon and ultra violet filtration , is Algae growth , if you leave it is direct sunlight for prolonged periods there is a high chance of green growth , that is why a lot of bottles have a blue tone just to reduce the sunlight , and it is the Law across Europe that ypou have to use a sell by date on certain products , I would expect tinned goods to last years , but they all have a sell by , another Europe wide con in a lot of cases

Cappy, reminds me of a notice seen in establishment where I once worked.
"The water in this establishment has been passed by the management."
Rob, yes I agree regards water, but after 1,000 years.
And why does a razor require a use by date?

The use by date on the razor is so you don't start letting your beard grow to long regular use of the razor means you have to buy replacements nothing to do with health and safety its all to do with accounts
