My nearest local here in the sandpit serves the cheapest pint (Tiger) at roughly £6 per pint... Needless to say we drink in the garden with a BBQ rather then goto the pub so often.

Realise not exactly on thread however on Saturday here in Paris it was a sunny day so we were out & about decided to stop for a light lunch & a cold beer. Menu of course all in French which you would expect. Looked at beer list nothing we recognised so chose by name, 'Desperado' sounded like us...well f... me it was Mexican with tequila in it, bloody awful & sweet to boot could not drink it so went to a good red wine. Then ordered a Italian 'croquet'with salad, ha it was a toasted ham & cheese sandwich at 12.5 Euros not a good day but amusing experience.
