National Insurance payments/pensions

Hi. I have just found my last National Insurance Card and noted I was paid up to February 1957! I had been at sea for the previous 3+ years. I then left for Australia and haven't worked in the UK since.

Does anyone know if there were any refunds or if one is eligible for a pension? If so where would I go?

David, there are two things you can do. Firstly go to the missing link and ask for the papers to claim your British pension. Not the best way but an option. Best way is to write direct to pensions in UK,
