true story
A fellow had just robbed a store in San Diego(USA) and was running out the door just as three marines were walking in.The store keeper yelled out asking them to stop him.But as they did,he pulled a knife and cut one of the marines on the arm. After a bit of a struggle, they finally subdued him and held him until the police arrived. The police arrested him,but had to take the thief to hospital, where it was found that he had a broken nose, broken jaw, broken right arm,5 cracked ribs, a dislocated shoulder and a broken left leg. When the police enquired from the marines how he had sustained all those injuries, they said that they all occured when he tripped on the kerb and fell.

Just goes to show how unsafe some of the sidewalks are over there. We had a similar incident here in Sydney last year. An Aborigine was found with four knife wounds in his back, two gunshots to the head and hanging from a Palm tree. Police said it was the worst case of suicide they had ever seen.

Happy daze John in Oz.
