    Default Xmas Norms

Well as Xmas approaches, i just want to advise that this Year i will NOT be sending any Cards out to my usual contacts. With the Postal System getting worse and the cost of Postage and Cards rising each Year too, its getting beyond a Joke now!
So to all those that normally get Greeting Cards from myself and the dear Wife, please excuse us this Festive Season.

Will post Greetings at a much later date
    Thank you for understanding ALL.

Down here in Victoria the Post Office has gone mad.
Taking on so many casuals for the season from end of October to end of January.
Saturday and Sunday deliveries in December, and only $3 for overseas postage.
But I do understand your situation, so enjoy the season.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Postage within the UK varies but a letter starts at £1.65 1st class or 85p 2nd class. What cards cost I do not know. Only cards I send are Birthday cards for my son & Granddaughters as they are in France, anyone else it is hand delivered , neighbours etc! or an E Card.

Here in Oz seniors can get books of stamps with the cost of a letter at 60cents.

I've never sent a Xmas card. Someone has to keep alive the spirit of Ebenezer Scrooge.

Christmas this year for us was the boss and myself . My son & Granddaughters because of work related issues cannot make it to us this year.
My brother and sister inlaw have invited us to Kilmarnock, Scotland. It is their 60th wedding anniverasary. So looking forward to that.
Must remember to bring a good Bushmills Whiskey original !!! instead of putting up with that Scottish stuff.

Missed out last year due to my illness, very subdued event.
But this year, as we have done a number of times before, a cruise to NZ for the season.
Good time had by all, new years eve in particular is great, we get two
One while still in NZ waters and a few hours later one at sea in international waters.
Gota couple of mates going with us this year, should be good.
    Happy daze John in Oz.
