yep, had a big Sony multi-functional thing bought as first trip Eng Cadet on Naess Endeavour in Singapore while on many of her boiler breakdown calls in Singapore during 1969. Ended up with a Sony ICF 2001 which I had right up until retired in 2014.IMG_4083.jpg

Compared with the stuff available to day some of that stuff was experience leading but very large not so easy to carry around.
We were the fore runners of todays min equipment.
