Re: Climate Change
Hi Brian.
If you can get hold of the book" Maralinga" by Judy Nunn read it. Pig Iron Bob our illustrious PM of the time didn't even ask his Cabinet if Britain could test atom bombs at Maralinga he just gave them the OK, the British secret service saw to it that Australians were kept in the dark. I believe that now the massive increase in child cancer is because of the winds that sweep the contaminated dust from that testing area, It also started to change the weather in Aus.

Re: Climate Change
On Saturday I found on U Tube a number of very interesting videos regarding the climate.
One of particular interest showed how over billions of years climate change made the planet we have today.
It shows the polar regions as not existing then, they came late.
In Canada in deep sediment there are fossilized remains of plants only associated with tropical climates.
It was an event regarding the sun and movement of the earth that brought about a change in temperatures which in turn created the polar regions.
So climate change does happen on it's own terms.
There is evidence that Co2 levels were higher then than now, there was a period of some 2 million years were it rained continuously, brought about by the concentration of Cop2 in the atmosphere.
There is recent evidence that Greenland was at one time was a Greenland covered vin growth of all manner.
The scientists Terry refers to are in three camps.
30,000 who say it is man made, another 30,000 who say not so and now some 11,000 who say yes but not man made. Who to believe?
Then another interesting article on the net.
By 2035oil demand will plateau and remain at a constant level. New technology will see less required for what oi now considered to be a normal use age.
The other one was regarding electric cars.
By 2030 it is estimated there will be about 300 million vehicles on the worlds roads, not many when you consider the population of USA is higher than that at present.
It also said that by then inroads made into Hydrogen driven vehicle swill make electric ones almost obsolete.
The 'Greens' here are blaming the current bush fires on our gov for continuing to sell coal to China. We could stop but then it would be purchased from Brazil. Poland or some other countries where the quality is far below ours, higher Sulphur content, so more emissions.
One fire fighter complained that there had ben no burning off during the winter to reduce fire load, one of the reasons for the current fires.
He was told by the land owner that the local Green controlled council had warned him that if he did so he would cop a $20,000 fine.
Remember when we were young our parents telling us at the dinner table,
'You will be going nowhere until those Greens are gone'
We may now realize just how prophetic those words were.

Wouldn't it be lovely if everyone just grew up and "made love not war" as the old slogan said. All this warmongering not only ruined the planet but was wholesale slaughter of the best of the world's young people. A disgrace.....off my soap box now
it would be standing room only by now then ha ha

Re: Climate Change
The fire service announcement
The fire front running from N.S.W to Queensland and up is now six thousand kilometers long, the same as the distance from Sydney to Perth AND BACK.
Letters in the papers are asking where are all the South East Asian countries we helped during their terrible tsunami's, including the Japs, we have firefighters from NZ, the Canadians are probably busy in California.

Don't know if the above can be verified or even if the publication I got it from can be trusted, whatever if the data used can be true then it only adds to the confusion Joe public has over being constantly bombarded by groups of activists claiming the end of the world is nigh.

John, a good mate of mine in Texas tells me he has good reason to believe it is true.
He has a lot to do with the weather departments in USA and says this has been common knowledge for sometime.
Just do not tell the 'Greens' or we will have problem.

Re: Climate Change
It does make you wonder what is going on and who is attempting to kid whom?
On the news today, Greenhouse emissions are at their highest in some parts of the globe.
No mention of exactly where, just a general observation.
But here in Victoria we are having some of the oddest weather for many years, it should be warming up but is in fact cooling down!!
