Some countries such as India have a 95% cremation rate.
The cremation takes between 90 minutes and 3 hours depending on the size and age of the person.
also the temperature is 1,000 c. THAT IS A LOT OF HEAT.
They have scrubbers to clean the exhaust. My brother is a qualified cremator, if you want more details I can ask him.

Capsula Mundi ?
A Burial Pod That Safely Decomposes Bodies Beneath New Trees.
Even possibly: Bury bodies along UK's motorways to ease burial crisis, expert suggests
New approaches to disposing of the dead needed as graveyards and crematoria are almost full.
All needs much thought but, new ideas will be adopted in the future.

Re: Climate Change
Tony #214, yes they do have scrubbers in crematoriums just as they do in clean coal fired power stations as I have seen in Japan and South Korea.
But in countries such as India, Pakistan, Indonesia and others they do not.
The bodies there are burned in the open on funeral pyres made of wood.
I have witnessed a few in Bali, interesting to see all they go through before the match is struck.
While there are many countries where marches, such as in London, are taking pace there are many more where they are not.
Countries such as Norway and Sweden do not normally involve them selves in such.
But look to many nations in Africa, Iraq, Afghanistan, Some South American nations, China, India, Russia.
Do we see any demonstrations there??
The argument regarding 'Climate Change; is a very one sided affair, with those having the most to gain leading the charge.
Those with the money opposing it all, and the almighty dollar speaks much louder than any demonstrator.
Consider the number of open fires on any day around the globe where all manner of fuel is used, it may be wood, dry cow dung and many other things.
Used in Countries where that is the only way to cook or heat accommodation.
Man has come a long way with the use of fossil fuels, unlike many years ago when the first motor vehicle came into being, now the emissions are almost negligible.
Any mammal in one day can produce more emissions of Co2 and Methane than any car.
There is nothing wrong in cleaning up the planet, reduce waste, recycle, make better use of raw materials, but do not use the claim the world will end to garner young people to your campaign.
There is an Indian by the name of Adani, one of the richest in the world and richest in India.
He is opening one of the largest coal mines here in Queensland.
A good friend of ours is married to one of his top men, an Australian who he head hunted for his skills and knowledge, the only westerner on his board.
As he told me, this man with his wealth and influence will achieve all he sets out to do.

Happy daze John in Oz.

Re: Climate Change
Hi John

then we should ban death, cremation pollutes the atmosphere, burials pollute the ground.
The only other way is hang the dead in trees and let the Crows eat them like some tribes do, recycled.
