Liverpool Water Front
I was over in Wirral last week for a couple of days. Just to collect a car I bought online. Anyway it was a lovely day and I decided to pop over and pay my respects at the recently dedicated Derbyshire memorial. I enjoyed a walk around Saint Nicholas Church and gardens. After a while I had a yearning to go back to sea!!! Well at my age no one is going to offer me a job are they!!! So I did a pier head jump um!!! okay I bought a ticket for the Ferry Cruise. Some things stickin your memory about the river Mersey, no matter what the weather there is always a cooling breeze blows up the river.
Some of the photos I took of this truly amazing water front. I even treated myself to a bowl of Scouse.20180928_113946.jpg20180928_125827.jpg20180928_141812.jpg20180928_124717.jpg20180928_131312.jpg

The Giants back to Liverpool this weekend!
Don't forget if you are visiting us between Friday 5 and Sunday 7 October, there are road closures in the waterfront area and changes to public transport which may affect you, including the closure of James Street and Moorfields stations.
As anticipation builds for the Giant Spectacular in Liverpool and New Brighton over the next few days, we take a look back to the Giants' first visit to the city in 2012, and the tragic letter from our Titanic and Liverpool exhibition which inspired it, on the blog:
Giant stories all year round in our Titanic exhibition! – Blog, Liverpool Museums

Giants puppets return to Liverpool for the last time.
Huge mechanical puppets walked through the streets of Merseyside as part of a series of events called Liverpool's Dreams. Little Boy Giant and Xolo the dog returned to city for the last time to mark a decade since it held the title of European Capital of Culture.

Re: Liverpool Water Front
When you consider the Battle of the Atlantic HQ was based in Liverpool and the traffic to and from the port of Liverpool during the war years. Who like me think that the current MN memorial is to say the least very disappointing.20180928_141156.jpg20180928_141125.jpg I do believe a new memorial has been commissioned which will be welcomed.
