Did anyone see on the news about that fisherman that was adrift in a boat for over 12 months in the Pacific, lived on turtle blood, fish and birds.

Yes saw that on the News here last Night!
It is an incredible story but apparently true!
He looked very dishevelled but otherwise in good form!
Don't know how he survived,but then when the chips are down the Human can do some miraculous things!

Tend to agree with you there Cappy, looks extremely well nourished, must be a shortage of turtles now in the Pacific, or he was bluddy big when he set out on his boat trip. I know when I was working in Ethiopia I went from 10.5 stone to just over 8 stone in a matter of weeks, and we had food (of sorts) and very little water so like you I tend to be a bit sceptical about 13 months in an open boat with no sign of malnutrition or sores from all that time subject to salt water spray or extreme sunburn, guess he was a lucky or extraordinary man

Hi Shipmates, cant wait to see the film, or read the book, did he have a tiger in the life boat {ref Life of Pi} he fed it on meer-cats? Tigers dont eat meer -cats yes they do in hollywood. Real story on the b.b.c. nicole reyes from cardiff got 12 years in jail she killed her husband In road{ accident}met her mother and step dad last year, asking everyone for money to pay a bribe, to drop charges and free her daughter... Mothers what would we do with out them?

....#.....marion the law of the sea ......but no I think he is a true phony.......massive sores or anything like the state of people who have beenin boats for 3 or 4weeks.....but no doubt time will tell regards cappy
