My first ship was San Felipe,59,last one Hanitia 67,inbetween San Edmundo,Horomya,Hindsis,Vitrina, hadriania.

I was on the AURIS from 19 August 1959 to 18 October 1959,
From Camel Lairds after being given a new Gast Turbine engine, just went to Curacao and stayed there, I was shanghaied on a Topsail Schooner for a few weeks and the Auris was still there when I got back to Curacao, Captain Brown let me off with a logging as he was an old Sailing shoip[ man, served his apprenticeship on the Cape Horner, MONKBARNS.
Good trip.

This was possibly the trip I did on the Auris back to uk. Captain Brown was ok. I scraped taff rails all the way home. Engine stopped during dinner one night and the BTH tech had to rush off.

Sailed on 3 of them.My first ship "Horomya" joined 17/02/1962 Capt.W.Barnes.Second ship "Hemiglypta" Capt A.A.Nichol then Capt R.MacKenzie.Last one "Hyalia" Capt.Dean then Capt R.Blackaby.Left in April 1965 to do second mate`s.

Joined the first H Boat to sail,Harpa, in 1953,thence Hyala, Heldia and Hemisinus (1956). Then many years later whilst working for Unicorn Lines of South Africa,joined Africa Shell which originally Helisoma. Thus served on both the first and the last of the H Boats
