Ships I sailed On
From Dec 1961 to May 1964 I had 5 trips Down Under. 1 On the Athenic, 1 on the Persic and 3 on the Alaric.
Had a great time ... anyone remember doing the same trips?

Hi Ken,
did you know EDDIE MOODY and David Duncan, they were on the Aleric 1966 i think, if i got it right this vessel came to the port of Durban in 1966 with engine trouble, i could be wrong.
maybe you could shed some light ?

Sorry Peter, I left the Alaric in 64 so I don't know those guys but it could have been the Alaric because she was always having engine trouble. Regards Ken

Hi All just joined, I was chippy on the Persic from 59 to june 62, did a lot of working by on the DM, Wiawera,
Ceramic and a few others, also did two trips on the Rippingham Grange under charter to S/S one 9 month and one 5 month trip I hope to hear from a few who were around then.

Ken,
I did 2 trips to NZ on the Alaric in 63 after that I was on the Canopic, Waiwera 3 years and finally the Majestic, sailed as engineer.
Great times so many memories
