"Teutonic" 1890
Trying to help a friend who had a possible ancestor Thomas Edward King who seems to have disappeared from the above ship which departed Liverpool on 19/03/1890 arriving in New York on 28/03. He is on the embarkation passenger list but not on the disembarking list. Family history says he got into a argument, was shot and fell overboard!!
Would have expected there to be a Official Log Book entry but cannot find any in National Archive's or at National Maritime Mus. I suggested the 'New York Times' and the 'New York Port Authority' and I would have thought that there would have been a Police investigation into the circumstances. My friend says he found a piece in the NYT dated a few days after arrival but it did not give any details.
So far have not made much progress.
Has anyone got any suggestions as to where to continue research??
Thanks,
Geoff.

Hi Marian,
Thank you for the information, much appreciated. I will see my friend on Thursday next, will see if he has any more details of this man. I think he was defiantly born in the UK.
Again, thanks very much for your reply,
Kind regards,
Geoff.
