Hello shipmates . It has become abundantly clear that the majority of us like our nosh!.or thats how it seems to me. I am only speaking from my experience at sea . All I can remember is how good all the food was. I had never been used to going into breakfast and having four co****s then the same again at lunchtime and again at night . There where so many different things on the menus that Id never even heard of, let alone tried and there was some outstanding stuff produced .I for one really enjoyed my food and its all down to you chefs, cooks and bakers. That means that this ship is full of some of the best chefs, cooks, bakers on the planet . Come on guys you all used to specualise in different things . How about reintroducing us into some ships food. How nice it would be for us all if you would each post one of your favourite recipes or six. Would really like a certain tab nab and eclair recipe..You guys have got a talent and you could share it wih us and we would be most grateful. Hope to hear from you all soon .......... Wilky

Ripper idea Wilky I already wrote down your Bread & Butter Pud recipe and will try it soon.I have a de luxe Sea Pie dish which I posted somewhere on this site here goes:-
6 x large prawns remove heads, talils and clean gut.Fry lightly in olive oil and one crushed garlic clove and chopped parsley. Place in ovenproof dish.( small cooked shrimp will substitute ok)
6oz of white fish whatever is cheap and fry to seal in same oiled pan and flake into the oven dish'
6oz of smoked cod or haddock flaked into oven dish.
Peel, boil ( add salt to taste) and mash three med spuds.Be sure to add cream and butter.Add a third to the oven dish and gently fold the fish and mash together, add balance of mash cover dish and place in moderate oven for 40 mins.Remove cover and brush surface spud with soft butter and place dish beneath the grill until brown and crunchie. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve with green veg prefferabley asparagas.
This may not sound proffessional but then I was only a lowly A/S.
Regards to one and all Mort

Hi Wilky, As Vernon say's. There was a recipe link somewhere. Will wait until I hear back before getting involved. Although my 'secret tab-nap recipe' I can not divulge, even under the threat of torture.A bottle of Appleton's may work though!!

Have a heart you old sea cooks. Some of us are struggling with expanding waistlines,( or is it shrinking keks) so we can do without your tempting concoctions

    Hi Mike.
Best way to look at an extending waist line is. If you had something worth $1000,000, at least to you, you ed want to put it under cover ???. Well thats my excuse anyway.

Or the brickworks. Then Mike would loose his contract on the pyramids.
That's the way the mop flops.

My thanks to Brian for this site.

    Hi LOUIS.
A taffy freind of mine has Brains Dark shiped out here to him, but its in cans much prefer stright out of the pump. Like it was in the Ship and pilot. Hes not that much of a mate as he wont give me a can to try. But what do you expect for someone who comes from Dinas Powis.
