RESOLUTION

todays the first, a brand new year,
My thoughts of friends both far and near.
Bring in the year with a toast of wine,
Remember times of Auld Lang Syne.

Remember those who work at sea,
Each has a place in memory.
Who stood beside you thick or thin,
Through the battle's raging din.

Today the ocean swells roll on,
In search of heroes now long gone.
All these years the watch they keep,
Old shipmates resting in the deep.

So as the old turns into new,
This resolution just for you.
Remember well these missing men,
Remember well! remember them.
