Lumber schooner
LUMBER SCHOONER
Up aloft in a bosun's chair,
Tending lines that call for care.
We could search the ocean all around,
As we cast off lines at Puget Sound.
On deck we lashed the stacks of wood,
Aboard our ship the ROBIN HOOD.
Sails are set, out course is laid,
For the southern port of Adelaide.
A sunny day, the weather fine,
New pollywogs will cross the line.
King Neptune makes his presence known,
Aboard our schooner far from home.
The fog conceals the Pacific swell,
The albatross with us did dwell.
He soared aloft he did not tire,
Astern of us in endless gyre.
We had our days of rain and thunder,
But reached our port in the land down under.
We brought the spruce some pit props too,
Then rolling home returned to you.

Very nice, have many of us sailed into Puget Sound, and where is it?
Clue. We loaded deck lumber in Vancouver BC.

Re: Lumber schooner
Now now Doc, that's cheating LOL.
Our friends to the south know it for the Seattle area/port. Or just the Pacific North West.
That really covers the State of Washington.
