Gallant ship
GALLANT SHIP
Our ship was standing off the shore,
The storm clouds rolling in.
Their goal to stamp out Freedom's call,
Prepare the crew for battle's din.
For those who dream of tyranny,
Bring all your force to bear.
Our grand old ship stands ready,
Crewed by the brave who dare.
You would fire on our gallant ship,
Set fire to her sails.
But men well stand when freedom calls,
Through thunder and the gales.
And when the darkest of the storm,
Descends upon the sea,
Will test the souls of countrymen
Who sail for Liberty.
Our gallant sship will never fail,
To stand against usurper's lies.
And from the decks all gaze aloft,
To where our starry banner flies.
So sign aboard our gallant ship,
Be counted with the brave.
Who stand for freedom of the heart,
Long may our banner wave.

Re: Gallant ship
Once again a great work from Ian.
I like this poem very much, the
writer captures in words so much
meaning and all that read can
interpret in one's thoughts an
own vision and even meaning.
Excellent.
Keith.
