Oscar Brand
Oscar Brand recorded some rather crude Sea Shanties in the 1950s/60s. Here's an example:-

Re: Oscar Brand
Hi Don, About five years ago I was yarning to an old shipmate about this artiste and his bawdy songs. This roused my curiosity so I Googled his name and collected a stack of info on him -- including some contact details. I rang the telephone number and incredibly he answered the phone -- we chatted for ages, he was still performing and was doing a concert in Toronto on the coming weekend ( he is Canadian born ) I ordered a couple of discs from him, they were delivered within ten days and the all up cost was just NZ$ 20. Just amazing. Regards Peter in NZ.
