Safety poem.
Hi,
I have just found this poem that I wrote over thirty years ago when we had a Safety Campaign on in ESSO.
.regarding entering tanks and other confined spaces.
.
.
When you are entering a confined space.
Just remember its not a race.
STOP, TAKE TWO, before you dive
or you may not come out alive
.
First check your permits and your SCBA
before the job gets under way,
Test for Gas and Oxygen too
and take your ELSA set with you.
.
Have a man on top and take your harness below
then you know it is safe to go
because if you dont it will be too late
and you will end up at the Pearly Gate.
.
So Stop and think, Life is all magic
because if you dont life will become Tragic.
So take the advice of this old Salt
Let`s bring these tragedies to a halt.
.
And then one day when yoyr old and grey
and yopu look back to this day.
When you read this poem and advice too
You will be glad you Stopped to Take Two.
.
Death is the ultimate Human Experience
There are no more after that.
Brian.
