Re: Once more into the Breech
I wonder why Hitler was always on about the thousand year Reich , what’s a thousand years in the scheme of things. Maybe he thought he was blessed with a life longer than others ? The trouble is Dictators tend to follow Dictators , North Korea is a good example of this. In the Holy Bible there are certain personages being said to be well over 100 years when passed on to better things, think the scribes that wrote the first official.Gospels of the Old Testament used a different calendar system ? Maybe to match the Climate Change that was even taken place then.?? JS.

Re: Once more into the Breech
It is said by many that stories in the Bible actually represent part of history of the middle east region.
One does not have to be religous to see that there is some truth in that.
But if you do believe what is said there then you may understand the bit which gives the idea that the Jews had no land and wondered across the open lands.
Be that so all mankind has the right to a home land so Israel coming into being is part to that maybe.
But the hatred between Jew and Arab goes back so far no one knows where it began, and many say will never end.

Re: Once more into the Breech
We.ve always seen groups bombing and killing people in order to get what they want and we call it terrorism, but that attack by Hamas went beyond that. Hamas controls the Palestinian government. Todays world was different to the older days, we can go back thousands of years to justify killing someone over something, but we grew out of that, well, most of the modern world did, including most Arab countries.
No doubt it'll go on and on.

Re: Once more into the Breech
Well Israel has spy network second to none!!! Why did the network not pass on to Netanyahu that Hamas were planning to attack on Oct 7th? If the advice was received by Natanyahu why did he not act on the information? The place of the attack were on IDF training camps strangely not heavily manned?
This was the excuse that Netanyahu was waiting for, he needed a distraction to keep him out of the courts.
Far-right Israel Explained | What You Need to Know About Netanyahu's Radical New Government
To end the unremitting cycle of elections, Benjamin Netanyahu unleashed far-right forces that will hold unprecedented power in the most religious, right-wing coalition in Israel’s history.

This war had nothing or little to do with the Hamas raid, it was the excuse to do what Israel was always going to do.
Exterminate the Palestinians and a land grab. They are going down the economic route now , just do not let any food or aid get into Gaza just let them starve to death, no doubt a lesson learnt from the Holocaust. He has been given the all clear by the Orange one in the White House.
Israel will pay a heavy price for this Genocide in years to come.
