As we all will know Pope Francis has sadly died today.

Um!!! what is it when senior politicians meet a head of state? Within hours of the Vance meeting with the Pope, I wonder what was said at the meeting?

Same thing happened when Truss met the Queen, 2 days after that meeting the Queen died.

Now I wonder if JD Vance will not be allowed in the same room as Trump?

If I was the Indian PM Modi perhaps he needs to cancel the planned visit

Odd how two out of the three women he's been married to are immigrants from Eastern Europe.One can always pray for devine intervention and he is hit by a bolt of lightening.

I see today he has said Russia can keep the Crimea and lands already occupied and he is very very annoyed that President Zelensky is not going to play ball.
Maybe Zelensky has read a bit of history in what happened when old Adolf sent Cahamberlin packing with a promise of peace in our time!!!! Best get building up the defence forces along the Russian border. Old Valdimir is getting geared up for a crack at Poland.

Vance may be OK, but his master is considered by a number of medical people in USA to be of unsound mind.

Not getting involved in this religious nonsense.... seen enough of the harm it does all over world in my 72 years.....

I was brought up as Roman Catholic.....was taught by Nuns in a couple of schools (One in Australia actually) but my parents took me out and put me in CofE schools ...where I was "excused" Morning Assembly... Ridiculous to me now.

But I left the faith after a priest, during confession, asked me if I'd "....had any sexual thoughts whilst lying in bed at night...If so..what were they...." That was it for me. I was outta there!

In my 60's ...I made an attempt to reconnect with the church..... But it was the same old bunkum...... I live by Christian Values...which is all I need to respect my fellow mankind...of whatever faith they may be.

I'm not into the "Once-A-Week" religious fanatics of whatever race-colour-creed...... I find most, at best, hypocrites....... and at worst , savage purveyors of racial-religious hatred that simply attempts to divide & conquer. Usually with extreme violence.

Hy Steve.
I sailed with a mate for five years, he told me what had happened to him in a Catholic School, but Even I was unprepared for what happened once when ashore, two Nuns walked past , he turned and spat on them, that was when he told me what had he went through at school. I think it was the reason he was a drinker, he died in a fire in Melbourne when he fell asleep with a lit cigarette in his mouth.

Spat on the Nuns, sounds as if he had other issues or was just pig ignorant, ah well he got his comeuppance.
I had an education battered into me by the so called Christian brothers/Jesuits no time for them.
For all that I am sat watching the Pope's funeral, he seemed to me to be a decent human being, he was also a Jesuit.

The Cardinal that read the Eulogy? it must have been uncomfortable for some of the worlds political especially the Orange clown and his partner in war crimes Nethanyahu and what is going on in Gaza.

I went to catholic schools and never experienced any untoward behaviour from nuns priests or teachers. I have learned since though, that several teachers at the ordinary state schools had been accused and charged with some crime or another over time.
All that pervert stuff goes on in all walks of life, and always has. I've seen plenty of CoE vicars and other religion leaders getting done for something naughty.
Yes we were whacked on the **** or hand with a cane, but so were most kids at any school. And when I think back, it wasn't such a bad thing.
Anywhere that humans are involved, there will be naughty goings on, and usually the more elite they are, the naughtier they can be, always have, always will.

It was weird I suppose... I was too young to understand it when we lived in Australia...but the Nuns were just centering on religion....My Mum & Dad said.... "Outta there" Went to State school and actually learned something!
Then we came back to the UK & I went to a C.of.E primary school & I was excluded from morning assembly ...as if I was some kind of alien do-no-gooder! It was so weird. Never bothered me though. Sod 'em.
I've lost my faith... Thanks to their dictatorial attitudes...they make themselves look as ridiculous as that bunch claiming ***** is a serious kind of religion when in fact is is the opposite. It's a sect of hatred to humanity.

I see the Censors are working overtime on this site:
The word they have "Starred" out is a perfectly legitimate word in the English language..... We all know what the word was.... it was not a swear word or in anyway an offensive word.
Just a word in everyday usage.

Not sure why, therefore, it was censored. Is this an open forum or not? Please enlighten me. Another example, perhaps, of the crazy world we live in.
