We built a house up the Blue Mountains, had the one brickie who mixed his own mud, I had been in the building industry for forty years ad never saw such perfect brick laying, he may have been a bit slow but every brick perfectly laid, plus the coloured bricks were so well matched.

The last house I had built was in 2000 the two brickies who built were excellent and this was confirmed by the plasterers who plastered the inner walls as to the uprightness and plumbing of same. The house on the next block with a team of 5 from Africa not so as had to be pulled down 3 times as was not plumb , they must have thought they were at home building a kraal. Two Aussie brickies had to rebuild in the end. JS
PS Thank goodness for building inspectors or someone would have got the house that Jack built. JS

#278. My old man also used to do a lot of stone masonry . He built me a coloured stone extension on the back of my last house in the Uk also a stone fireplace which ran the full length of the lounge room . Cost me 8 pints of beer which at the time would not have been much above a pound. I did pay for the materials however. He called the cement Muck as well , as I laboured to him and was always calling for me to mix more muck. Always put a drop of washing up liquid in with the mix as well. Cheers JS.

Washing up liquid, used as a plasticizer, makes it spread easier.
Not sure what they use now.

No connection at all John, the only maritime connection was limited (very) to my grandfather on my mothers side, was a watchman on ships moored in Tyne, I dont remember as he died when I was a baby, his name was Robson and lived in Whitley Bay, my mother had five sisters, all gone now bar one.

It appears that the captives that have died have all been killed by Israeli Bombs

And your source for this informative tid bit comes from ... where exactly?

The IDF, with the most extensive and penetrtive security information "bombing their own people"...?
    Really?
    I think not!
If they are so good, how come they killed all those UN people in those cars, including an Australian woman, we are still waiting for an explanation. they said there were Hamas fighters in there OOPs no sign of their bodies.

The latest supposed peace deal will go nowhere.
Putin will not agree to giving back land they have taken, nor will he agree to Ukraine joining NATO.
Not that it is any of his business if the do.

Switzerland has said that if he agrees to come there for talks he will not be arrested even though there is a warrant out for him.

This is just another 'Russia/USA 'fight on another countries land.
    Vietnam all over again.
