Titanic again?
In the weekend paper an item which tells us an exhibition about the Titanic will be here from December to April.
We are told that Melbourne will be the first capital city outside of Paris to have the exhibition.
Complete with over 240 artifacts, a replicate grand staircase and a frozen ships side.
In 2010 I wrote an article, and repeated it in 2012 on the anniversary, about my visit to the Titanic exhibition held here in Melbourne.
Now I know some writers for the paper are not the smartest and never check facts, but unless they have discovered a second Titanic this exhibition is not new and has been here before.

Re: Titanic again?
When did Melbourne become the Capital city.
The Titanic is now a world wide industry. It is certainly more successful than if she had stayed afloat.
Since 2006, The Belfast Titanic Quarter has attracted over 100 national and international companies creating around 6,000 jobs. Some firms include Citi, Microsoft, and HBO.

Re: Titanic again?
Trouble is everyone forgets what a complete cock up the disaster was, from the Skipper speeding through the fog and ice, to men hiding in women's clothes, sure there were heroics but what of all the me first mob. If not for the film which in my eyes was poorly acted I doubt it would have been remembered as it is. Sorry my thought s only.

#2 Do you have to try and cause controversy with every post ? Melbourne is the capital of Victoria. Any school kid even in NI would know that . JS

Re: Titanic again?
John, thank you but sadly you cannot legislate for some.
The point of the posting was the fact that the exhibition has been here before, not new as the media claims.
I thought my posting on that matter was quite clear, well to most anyway.

Re: Titanic again?
Was clear to me John , the method in the madness of some who want to cause consternation to others will never succeed as long as people can look through the cracks of a false facade . JS
