As to this one with the tazer, they are now taught to use that without question if an form of weapon is on display.
Not the best way to train one would think, bit like the Army of old where the squaddie had to do all he was told without question.
my brother served in Northumbria Police for over 30 years, he spent the last five years or so as an instructor at the police training school in Durham and told me before he retired that many forces had dropped their standards quite alarmingly, some trainees even struggling to spell and were not the brightest. Worst case - a woman of African origin whose first language was a tribal dialect and second language was poor French, virtually no English, they employed a language tutor to coach her in the evenings; after all that added expenses she was still sacked before the end of the course. What a waste of money just to demonstrate they were not racist or anti femenist etc.

Re: Rolf
Vernon.
On your post #19 you said about them training the police in unarmed combat. A policeman has been charged and will possibly face jail after using a foot sweep to bring down abusive teenager; which was caught on body cam, the youth had threatened to bash him. maybe because the youth was an Aborigine

Re: Rolf

Unfortunately in this day and age with all the stupid rulings that have come to pass, it seems that the Police Force is being held ransom for many incidents!
It is no wonder that the Crime rate is climbing so fast, as the poos Police cannot use the correct powers that they used to Years ago.
This brings to the point of the upbringing of the Children of Today.
The Parents cannot even touch their Kids these days without the fear of being charged with some stupid petty crime! And the Kids know this too well, therefore this is now is what is happening in our Society, not only here but all over.
Until there is some change (I doubt if ever) things will just get worse and worse!
Now not saying that there should have been any Violence with that poor old Lady, but a Burly Policeman with the correct Training, should have been able to disarm her without too much trouble!
Cheers

Re: Rolf
There is a problem now with the Police and not of their making.
Out there are blood suckers, known as lawyers, willing to take on any case if they think there is something in it for them.

You would have seen that fire in Sydney that brought down that huge building that had an heritage order on it, someone wanted to turn it into an Hotel. I thought it was another JOB so that they could avoid the Heritage, but no it was a gang of teenagers who set alight to it despite there being around 30 street people or more using it to sleep in. A bloody tradedgy avoided, at least some of the kids handed themselves in.

Re: Rolf
The ambulance chasers strike again.
I see in the paper today that a company of blood suckers will continue with an action against Rolf even though he is dead.
A female is suing him for sexual assault back in the 1970's.
Will they use a clairvoyant in their deliberations?
One guy said they has no chance as now all assets in his wifes name.

Yes Des
Terrible Fire that was and Oh my Lord these Kids, nothing better to do. This again puts light on what i have said so many times! There is no Control on most Children these days , they get away far too easy with Crime! the old saying is sooooo true!

Re: Rolf
Further to the woman who was tasered, we have since found out that the woman in question lived two doors up from us for six years, we didn't think it was her as, she; despite now knowing that she had 8 kids 14 Grandchildren and god knows how many great grand children
never had any visitors that we saw, there was never a car in her driveway all the time she was there. She used to talk to my wife when she went for a walk, and used to say she was lonely since her husband had died and was going too sell her house and go into the Home run by the Council, the only other person we ever saw her with was a daughter who worked with my daughter, now it seems every one of her relatives are coming out of the woodwork to get their faces in the news.

Re: Rolf
Vernon, very of the now the problem is the parents both work full time and the kids have to do what they can until the parents come home.
Not all are bad but the real bad ones are just that.
