If you are saying John these young men were truly traumatized that would certainly confirm the state of misogyny that has propelled throughout their lives. Gawd love them, you have to admire their tenacity as they still managed their jollies ashore.

Re: Marriage ...your never too old.
It is a spoof Marian , I can’t. See the lucky few so called complaining 40 years later, unless it is for the lack of the second instalment . However that would give the show away. Any man complaining about sexual harassment by a lady his only excuse would be he was an early Willie Woofter. Maybe they found refuge in UCL. JS

Marion.
For the last few years of misogyny I would blame the beard. I also blame a little on the girls who do women no favors by appearing in shows like , 'A farmer wants a wife." Don't know if you get it in the UK but a bunch of farmers, [Read actors} test out these young women to see if they are good enough as a wife, another load of rubbish on TV.

Des apart from the tattoos a lot of those girls have. Rings and ornaments pierced in various parts of their bodies , offputting to me but maybe appealing to others . The farmer who opts for one with a ring through her nose obviously may be looking for a bull and not a wife. JS

I can’t think of any ships I was on Vernon where Union Castles famous reputation was unknown. Similar but in a different Vein the yellow perils got the reputation of the Bad Boys Ships , and yet many on here swear by them. When British owners were baling out left right and centre at least they stood the course.

Re: Marriage ...your never too old.
There is a lady who works at the community center, nice lady but with piercings.
A small thing at the tip of her nose looks as if she needs a hanky or something, and when she speaks you can see the gold ring on her tongue.
Then one who looks like the tattooed lady still young with roses, but in time they will become dead ones.
Each to their own, none of us have the right to condemn such actions, but that does not mean that in private we cannot have good laugh.
We had a PM here some years ago who spent half an hour in parliament accusing the opposition leader of misogyny, she lost the election not long after that.

Happy daze John in Oz.
Life is too short to blend in.
