Watching T.V. this morning and saw footage from mobile showing him being accosted by youths in the park where he was walking.
He was trying desperately to get away but they were holding on and throwing their arms around him.
This is England's chief medical officer and he does not deserve this sort of treatment.
People are saying he is too nice a person to prosecute these yobs, but this happened Saturday, or so i am led to believe, and now the police are considering taking action.
This man was ASSAULTED and the people involved should have been immediately arrested and charged by the POLICE.!!!
I am disgusted by this event.

The problem is you can never get hold of a bobby when you want one, I had an incident recently with a few organ donors on motor bikes, No police to be found in fact i never even got the email they promised me. Sign of the times.

That's the trouble these days Marian .Victims don't want their aggressors prosecuted for fear of reprisals. Looking at that disgusting video clip it is obvious the aggressors were clearly 'off their heads 'on drugs,and the police should have investigated that, in a public place,even if the victim didn't want it.

Thankfully we have not had any similar incidents here in Oz.

Our chief health officer Kelly and his superior Murphy have done a good job under some very trying circumstances.

But at the same time there are few state premiers who would not be missed if they were thrown under the bus.
