Re: Drones
RLT, I can see what you are saying, but these things are available all over the world, i dont think a ban would work, the one for guns doesn't work. Having said that, i don't have an answer, but if the IT geeks got to work on it, surely they could come up with some sort of airport security for it. I should imagine every airport all over the world will be going frantic to see they can hopefully prevent it, kt

Jim 47, i wonder if some nasty neighbour causing some stress for this couple, duff report to the police, then sit back and enjoy the mayhem. Someone did the deed, kt

Re: Drones
I wonder how much Global Infrastructure Partners (owners of Gatwick and Edinburgh airports) invested in anti drone technology to protect the 40 million odd customers. A company that manage $40 billion for its investors. The CAA regulate the use of drones but who is responsible for protecting the airport ?The technology is available and being used by some prisons to prevent drones flying contraband into them.

Re: Drones
Re Jim's post # 47. The arrested couple have been released without charge. Well, that's their reputations in bits.
Many people will have seen the original post and not the second one concerning release. When did 'arrested' replace,'Brought in for questioning'. I don't think that names were given then, were they?
It seems to follow the pattern of all the accusations that can be made without a shred of evidence and the Police have to follow these spurious leads. Was it someone with a grudge or malice who named them? If so, what will happen to them?
It'll be interesting to see how the Newspapers report this couple's innocence tomorrow. Bet it won't be a front page spread as it was on our newspaper this morning- plus photograph.

Brenda

Re: Drones
Whoops ! !
Drone, what drone?
Apparently - Police make incredible claim there may NEVER have been a drone attack on Gatwick as they release 'most inoffensive bloke ever' and his wife after 'ripping their house apart during appalling investigation'
?
