I've always had it in my mind that when he first started out, playing small venues and outside concerts, the bands name was known as "the new city jazz men".. remember seeing them at the outside bandstand in Crawley square during the fifties.

Roger enjoyed the music, Akker was in my day, but also enjoyed the film of the good old English countryside, this lovely green and pleasant land, its still here, just got to get off of the bloody motorways to see it
