The best of times
The cars are fantastic. The music was so wonderful, romantic, nostalgic, magical... We were rich and did not know it! We were innocent and thought we were experienced. We were very fortunate to have lived in such an era. Enjoy the past as revealed here. Who knows what the future brings........ Where, oh where, are the white sport coats and the pink carnation.

Re: The best of times
Yes I will Doc.
She is a very nice lady.
Would be a good back up for that Scottish one we have.
Not that our Marion needs any help in that regard.
Better stop now before I dig a hole for myself.
Don't want to encounter a flying Haggis.lol.

Re: The best of times
I look at footage such as this and wonder, are any of those people still with us?
It was a simple time the years just after WW2. the world was coming back to it's senses, but has now lost them again, and the future looked very promising.
There were pressures on us then but nothing compared with some of the ones today, the money went further, the people got on together far better than today and work was there for all who wanted it.
We were made better people for it as we had to work for what we wanted, there were very few gov hand outs then.
Maybe if more of the younger generation had known times such as those they would be far more supportive of Brexit.

Happy daze John in Oz.

Re: The best of times
Hi John,
I am fine; just a few years older and not liking it hahahaha
Must admit have popped in a few times just to see what you Lads are up to; but never
had the Courage to join in!!!
I am kept busy with going to a few Clubs; like Gentle Movement and Craft and I started a WI in my Village 9 years ago so that keeps me busy.
How about You what have you been up to since I have been Away.
I have a feeling I left not long after you joined; not because of You hahahaha.
Will pop in again to see if I get an answer.
Take care and be good to one another as we only get one Chance.
Love
Tiger 1

Re: The best of times
Hi Dear Vernon,
Don't always do what I am told; but just this once wondered what would happen if I
did do what you told Den to tell Me.
I am a very Lucky Lady I made some nice Friends on here and some have kept in touch; for
which I am very Grateful.
I hope you and your Lovely Irene are well and enjoying life in those lovely
Blue Mountains. I have some photos of them in Ken's Album.
Well I am off to watch My Hero who is now No1 in the Tennis world;
us Scotties have got to stick together. And I have had many Happy hours watching Andy since he was 19.
Take care and be good to one another as we only get one Chance.
Love and Hugs to you and Irene.
Tiger 1xx
PS I still have that Lovely Poem you sent Me on my Laptop; I read it every Day and it reminds Me of Kenxxx
