Oldies but goodies...
My better half has been trolling about YouTube tonight and suggested these for your listening pleasure. Both beautiful.

Re: Oldies but goodies...
Jacyn, your better half and you not only gave me the listening pleasure of those two links but also the others there not least being the beautiful Maori love song 'Pokarekare Ana' and the American folk song 'Shenandoah', both of which have been indelible in my mind from the first time I heard them (and sung them after a fashion - sometimes in my cups!) nearly 70 years ago. Thanks again.

Re: Oldies but goodies...
Here's another one for you. The song starts about 3:52 minutes into the video. Also a great view from the cockpit of a Spitfire.

Re: Oldies but goodies...
Both the Spitfire and Vera Lynn bring back memories of my wartime childhood, alas not all good ones having been bombed out three times. My aunts who were Spitfire and Halifax pilots during the war said the Spitfire was such a joy to fly, but they had to ferry them from factory to airfields with any armament being loaded into them and had to be very watchful when delivering to south and east coast fields as could get caught up in dog fights and airfield bombings. One aunt was as hard as nails, the other one looked as if butter wouldn't melt in her mouth and was like a demure little schoolgirl.
