Today on BBC radio 4
Today on BBc radio4 at 1100 UK time. Was a 30 min program about the ships caught in the Suez Canal during the six days war in 1967. Called " The Yellow Fleet" it was very interesting and can be heard by BBC'sRadio 4 listen again worldwide program on the web, probably for about 1 week .It went into quite some detail, with interviews from crew members about their activities,Olympics etc over the months of entrapment.I can recomend it.. The Yellow Fleet
Many many thanks to Wilfo (Alan) and Gulliver.Once again the camaraderie of merchant seaman regardless of nationality comes to the fore. You have to hand it to those Germans, engines in good nick and cargo that had shot up in value.Aussie sand for sandpaper, who'd have thought it?
