I see that new ferry for Tasmania which has been lying alongside in Leith for months is now at sea. No destination as yet but appears to be heading east at 23knots.

#1 someone must know Tony ? As used to be on clearing outwards that the destination was given also. However saying that if was the case what did Greenpeace do when clearing outwards did they
declare they were going to harass seafarers going about their lawful business. There are laws and laws some obeyed and others didn’t. Easiest to say the Law is an Ass more times than it is a coach horse. JS.

Re: Spirit of tasmania iv
The old ships here in Oz Melbourne were supposed to have been replaced before they moved the dock from Melbourne to Geelong.
But of course these things never go to plan, more so when the gov, state or feral, are involved.
Maybe one day they will arrive, who knows.

Happy daze John in Oz.

Re: Spirit of tasmania iv
Its still out there this morning, currently doing 16knots, but still in central N. Sea so maybe they are just giving it a run out; might be cheaper to be at sea than paying port fees.
