The article shows a plan of the ship and the article states there are 38 crew cabins but no matter

Should be needed for the extra hands to keep it running; I just heard they ordered 200 Thistlebond kits.

As memories, Thistle bond was widely used for running repairs , I seem to remember it was also included in a seagoing song “Puff the magic Doxford” . I still remember the smell of the resin as it mixed . I have an aversion to these chemical smell to this day.
Doug
Ps Do the still make it ?

I still recall the wording of the message from the company when they told us to ditch the oxy acetylene, to be replaced with "sophisticated repair kits"

Re: That Ferry Again
You could always tell the quality of the ships someone had sailed on by how adapt they were when doing a Thistle bond repair. Joined a Bibby ship once, 1/2 sthe ships stores consisted of, Bycycle inner tubes, Thistle Bond/Corri bond, Devcon , Belzona for the big jobs and Aradite.
Now lets see if anyone knows what the bycycle inner tubes were for?

Re: That Ferry Again
#14 Didn’t the sophisticated repair kits go under the product title of liquid Steel Tony , or was the real title for thistlebond.I stuck canvas patches on holes in the coamings of an old banger
I was on and then covered the canvas with thistlebond and then painted over the lot. JS.

I believe they were lying in Leith waiting for a decision but it was costing too much so they sailed fairly recently?
