Joe was that Denis Robinson from Monkseaton ,Whitley Bay ? JS…..
If it is I am extremely sorry to hear of his passing . He was an ex Runciman man similar to self and believe he lived in Fairfield Drive , Monkseaton at one time. The last time I met him was in about 1989 when relieved him on the British Magnus ex BUE … British Underwater Engineering . Won’t say anymore until confirmed whether or not is the same person. However whoever he is my commiserations to his family and friends . Sorry just looked up , took over from him in March 91 at Wallsend Shipyard. Believe there are some on site who may have sailed with him in BUE before they disbanded . He would also of known John Eggleston your friend who served his time in Chapmans .Regards JS
